Take the Money and Run...

Seriously?

I mean, seriously...I knew this was going to happen, almost a year ago I predicted this was the way it was going to go down...oh I am so mad right now. You should be, too.

Won't Get Fooled Again...

OK, so I'm finally gonna update the blog. My apologies to those of you who have sent me hate mail, but please understand that my lack of words on this page are not because of laziness or disinterest; rather, I've been elbows deep in grease, gears, wires, and wheels...as a partner in ECOS Motors, I take a "hands on" approach to my work. I handle the tech calls and emails, design the components and cars, and spend the rest of my time cutting, welding, and grinding in order to achieve what major automakers tell you is impossible. It seems that every couple years we hear that EVs are going to be available soon, within the next two years, the electric carrot is dangled in front of us just long enough to get our attention, then that two years comes and goes and...nothing (other than millions of dollars wasted - but that's for another rant). We just got back from SEMA. I was looking forward to seeing some new stuff. I was severely disappointed, there was no Leaf, no Volt, no Tesla, nothing. Just a tiny little afterthought of a display shoved in the back of the convention center that in my opinion was an absolute joke. Other than some nicely crafted conversions (which didn't get the recognition they deserved), the electric vehicles were all the typical 3-wheeled-wedge-of-cheese-looking abortions. There was one that even looked like a high-heeled shoe. C'mon, you don't have to look like a fool when you drive an EV, I really don't know where that school of thought comes from. Fortunately we displayed a Harbinger outside with the duPont Registry, with all the cool cars. And, for the record, (contrary to what automakers want you to think) we didn't spend millions on research, design, and development. We also didn't accept ANY grants, incentives, or gubmint bailout money for our endeavor, either, I'm not even thinking of getting involved in that debacle.
